Another Yallah Dance/Shamiradance Successful collaboration!

A workshop geared toward students who have taken some dance lessons before or have worked with Shamira's Videos or DVDs.  We had a packed room full of wonderful, beautiful ladies who were swaying sensuously, shimmying like glitter, then happily munching on chocolates during their water breaks and having a complete blast treating themselves with a fabulous Valentine's Workshop as only Shamira and Yallah Dance can offer.

What originally was planned as a 3-hour workshop at the YM-YWHA's nice big dance studio with hardwood floors and mirrors, ended up being a 4-hour workshop with only a few short water breaks.  Shamira was on high gear and extra generous with her instruction! 

We decided to forgo the registration time, no lunch breaks, no shopping time although the ladies did manage to shop like crazy while they headed for a water a.k.a. shopping break.  You will not believe how much shopping a woman can do in such a short period of time. But hey, that's what we do, we treat ourselves, especially on Valentine's Day, because we're worth it! 

Miss Energizer Bunny Shamira was on overdrive!  Even the breaks were short.  Thank goodness she had to work the CD player's remote control a couple of times, as that gave everyone a chance to take a few seconds' extra breathing room.  Not much, but when you are working hard, every second of respite counts!

Then came Shamira's secret surprise to everyone! 
Shamira started teaching a slow, sensuous dance, then suddenly put the very exact moves to wild music. 
We saw those hypnotic moves transform into a wild dance!

Teaching to a packed studio, Shamira was inspired!  The ladies were enthralled! 
It was a really wild and sensuous afternoon, just as Shamira had promised.

How to be dramatic and sexy but still look natural and dance like a lady!  

The workshop was not for basic beginners.  But those who have taken any dance classes before or studied with any of Shamira's videos or DVDs were able to do everything. If you've studied with Shamira before, then you know that Shamira likes to break things down.  Shamira is very sincere about helping people achieve success in class in a fun, non-threatening atmosphere.

What this workshop was after is to show how to take a simple move and make it look gorgeous and sexy, yet still ladylike and feminine. Also offered were some more advanced variations for the more daring!

Shamira put together some great moves and patterns that could be used with any music, from slow and hypnotic to world club beat. With a stunning choreography to "Zeina" Shamira showed our attendees how to capture the audience with the beauty of it.

Shamira's newest CD mix "Shamiradance 2005 #1" - 15 tracks including Zeina and all other drum tracks or music used in the workshop - were available for purchase on Feb 13.  The CDs flew off the shelf almost as fast as the chocolate truffles that Shamira provided as an extra Valentine's treat!

DVDs, DVD Soundtrack CDs, Yallah Ya Helwa CDs, beautiful hipscarves, skirts and veils, dance tops and other cool bellydance items were also available for purchase.  They treated themselves to those too!  These ladies were very good to themselves for Valentine's Day.  As it should be .... anytime, all the time!
